
Al-Gold: Muheiddin Alkhair
The Executive Director of Al-Gold Locality inaugurated a training workshop on Accountability to Affected Populations for Education Partners, organized by Auttash Organization for Peace and Development, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education in Northern State.
The event was attended by the Director of National Security, the Director of Security Police, and Chief Mohamed Awad.
The workshop targeted primary, intermediate, and secondary education directors, as well as 10 schools in the locality. It also included directors of administrative units and general departments in the locality.
The workshop aims to enhance safe learning spaces for children, provide psychosocial support, and develop skills for those affected by conflict.
Mr. Mahjoub Mohamed Sayed Ahmed, Executive Director of Al-Gold Locality, praised Auttash Organization for its dedication in supporting education.
During the opening ceremony, he highlighted the case of Orbi Middle School, which is in urgent need of renovation and rehabilitation.
He called for focusing on training teachers, principals, and supervisors, considering it an opportunity for capacity building and professional development.
Mr. Al-Sadiq Issa, Director of Education, expressed his happiness with the workshop’s launch, which targets 10 schools in Al-Gold locality as part of the project’s implementation for students and tackling the school dropout phenomenon.
He extended his thanks to the state and locality training directors for hosting the workshop.
On his part, Mr. Ali Waraq Ahmed, Director of the General Department for Educational Training and Rehabilitation in the state, expressed his delight over the launch of the training workshop for those affected, in partnership with Auttash Organization.
He affirmed his support for the organization to ensure maximum benefit for teachers, which would ultimately reflect positively on the students in schools.
The organization’s representative emphasized that the targeted participants are decision-makers, to contribute to implementing the project for those affected by the war.
He thanked the education administration for providing all necessary support to advance the project.
He also spoke about the organization’s founding in 2002 in Omdurman, and its work across various states in Sudan, highlighting that this is its first project in the Northern State
